Camera and stabilization: The tripod was the foundation of the visual approach. The camera observes the characters without intervening, from a distance that invites the viewer to read the scene for themselves. When the characters move through the space, we follow them with gentle pans and tilts, accompanying them without getting ahead. For the more emotional moments, such as the revelation of the space or the entry into the father's inner world, I incorporated the slider with slow, controlled push-ins. The goal wasn't dynamism, but that sense of unhurried, measured advance.

Aspect ratio: For 'Qué cosa más rara', we chose a 2.35:1 ratio. It was a decision made together with the director, Petar, rooted in his visual imagination for the story but also responding to the space itself: the horizontality of the environment, the presence of water, the openness of the landscape. Everything suggested a wide frame.

Lighting: For the daytime scenes, the main source was natural light, which I softened with a 2x2 m overhead silk. I complemented it with silver reflectors to flatter faces in the closer shots and with flags to darken the side of the face turned toward the camera.

For the night scene, the lighting was built around a duality of color temperature. As keylight I used a white 2x2 m Cinebounce lit by two Nanlite 300 LED fixtures, a large, soft source that wrapped around the characters. The background, the trees and the forest, I lit with a Nanlite 60B with a blue gel at very low power, just enough for the environment to have presence without competing with the foreground. Finally, together with the art department, we placed a warm gas lamp as a practical in the scene. That touch of warmth contrasted with the blue of the background and drew attention exactly where we wanted it: to the faces.
