ENG ESP CAT

When people ask me what I do, I tell them I paint pictures that play back at 24 frames per second. My paint is light, and my brush is the lens and the camera. Until now, I have always worked with the same palette. I need to learn to paint with new colors and to master new brushes.

I came to ESCAC thinking I wanted to direct. But on my first shoots, operating the camera on my classmates' projects, I realised I was drawn much more towards the role of director of photography than that of director. As I was already working independently as an editor, filmmaker, and photographer (you can find a selection in the photography section of this website), all of this experience made it easier to transfer my knowledge to the world of cinema.

During the color challenge, experimenting with lighting on set, I discovered I could spend hours testing light setups without noticing the time pass. That practice, combined with the second-year shoots where I have worked in the camera department, has confirmed that what truly drives me is the visual side of storytelling.

I have a solid technical foundation in formats, cameras, and color, but now I need to finish connecting it to expression and learn to translate emotions into a visual language. I want to be in an environment that demands and pushes me to grow. My path is cinematography in fiction.
